The house is at the south east corner of lake Annecy, Haute Savoie. We are on the banks of the L'eau Mort (one of the two main streams feeding the lake) on the edge of the medieval village of Verthier across the valley from Doussard town. Reaching us could not be simpler.
Driving here has the flexibility of no excess bagage payments and the freedom to link your stay with us to visits to other parts of France. A Dover - Calais crossing can be made with P&O Stena or with Sea France. Drive time from Calais by the Auto Route is about 8 hours.
Eurostar/TGV to Annecy from Waterloo or Ashford involves a simple change at Paris and you can arrange the interval to give you a short break in the city. The jorney time of 4 hours London-Paris and 4 hours Paris-Annecy is comparable with air as shorter more convenient transfers are involved
Flights to Geneva are available from many British airports and it is worth exploring cheaper discount fares as the flight time of about 1 hour is quite comfortable. I have flown Easyjet Gatwick - Geneva for as little as £25 single out of season. If we are not collecting you from the aiport then take the train to the city centre and then a bus to Annecy. The airport information desk at arrivals will give you a map and train/bus times.
There are services to Annecy from London by both Eurolines 0171 730 8235 and National Express 0990 808080.

Take the route national along the lake(20K) towards Faverges - Albertville.
At the end (south) of the lake there is a roundabout with Doussard on your right and Verthier on your left.
Continue straight on. Take the first left just before a concrete building (Night Club - L'ARTISTE) signposted Sollier.(800M)
At the hamlet of Sollier turn left along La Route de la Poudriere.(500M)
The next fork on the right is La Reisse and the house is on your right as you approach.(200M)
